Will Joe Go?

CT Sen. Joe Lieberman is set to announce his re-election plans for 2012. Sources say he won't seek a fifth term and I would put money on that outcome.

In 2006, the rabid Left - spurred on by Markos "Kos" Moulitsas Zuniga of The Daily Kos - conducted an attempted purge of Lieberman from the Democrat party because of the "heresy" of supporting our troops in Iraq. They ran an empty suit candidate who won the Dem nomination but was ultimately beat by Lieberman who ran as an independent. Clearly the majority of CT voters - most of whom are unaffiliated - spoke loud and clear that the loony-tunes moonbat Leftwingers did not speak for them and re-elected Joe on his commendable (if Liberal) record.

Now, I'm guessing Joe does not want to go up against newly declared former Secretary of State Susan Bysiewicz who he is probably on friendly terms with. So he'll likely end his Senate career - on his own terms.

All this would create an open seat and you can bet your boo-TAY that Linda McMahon will be back on the campaign trail for the next two years. I don't know if I can stand getting those flyers in my mailbox EVERY.DAMN.DAY from now until November of 2012.
