Life on the Construction Site
The post headquarters is getting the latest in a series of renovations since we moved in almost five years ago. This round consists of gutting and rebuilding the bathrooms (now complete) and doing a complete kitchen makeover. We are now starting our third week without complete use of the kitchen. The new cabinets, flooring, and a gas range are in, the refrigerator is back in its proper place, and we are awaiting granite countertops and a new sink. Until then, the dishwasher cannot be used which means we are camped out in the dining room living off Chick-Fil-A, microwave food, and paper plates. It was an adventure for the first few days but the novelty has long since worn off.
