It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas, Dammit
First Starbucks holiday cup this morning.
In the words of Aniken Skywalker, "Noooooooooooooo!!!!!!"
Get this for wisdom:
"When you wish, the world becomes brighter. So wish. It's what makes the holidays the holidays."
Um, apart from replying "No, it isn't", I couldn't help thinking that surely what one wishes might make a difference in that calculation?
Posted by Robert at November 3, 2009 10:23 AM | TrackBackBwahahahah! That's great! I have some wishes that might make the holidays not as bright for some Democrats... bet that isn't what they have in mind.
Posted by: Nicole at November 3, 2009 01:40 PMI wish for darkness.
Posted by: rbj at November 3, 2009 02:15 PMCan I just chuckle at the juxtaposition of the previous post's title and this one? Cause whenever I see "The Crooked Straight and the Rough Places Plain" I think "The Messiah" (I know, I know, it should be Isaiah I think of, but I can never spell it and that puts me off) and then we have "It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas, Dammit." Well yes, yes it is.
That said, I think I need to rush off to Starbucks now...I do love the holiday red cup.

I think of The Messiah, too. And sing it in my head.
I love that you're such a curmudgeon.
Posted by: jen at November 3, 2009 04:21 PMI also work in deecee, and likewise noted the first Starbucks holiday cup this morning (I didn't think to look at the message). But I got a regular cup yesterday. So either we're stopping at the same Starbucks (which I doubt, since I'm not near Metro Center), or lots of greater deecee Starbucks stores are starting with the holiday cups today. If the latter, I wonder why they chose Tuesday the 3rd instead of Monday the 2nd.
Posted by: ChrisN at November 3, 2009 04:30 PMI'm not sure if it began Monday, but tonight I did get a holiday cup here in Wisonsin. Even here, where it is blustery and cold (and we've had regular frosts) it's too early for this.
