Continuing with the Enduring Brunette Theme

Mother of five, governor of the largest state in the Union, and the main reason for enthusiasm for last year's GOP ticket:

We have not seen the last of her.

Seems to me that the chattering class has successfully bullied Sarah into circling the wagons and protecting her family. Time to aid the lass and plan for the 2010 election - Hopey McChange and the Dead Fish will scuttle themselves in 2012. Pissant Reid and SanFraNan should be in the reticle now. Tell Gridley it is time...

With all due respects to the other gentlemen, Palin just committed political suicide and from what I can see, happily and relieviedly so.

She chose to shield her family (Bully.) and end Republican fratricide (Thump, thump).

So, she just quit her job. (Uh, ...?)

I will miss her.

I'm not politically astute enough to know whether Michael is right or the rest of you are right regarding her political future, but I do know this much: If we just let this happen, if we put up with the Left using personal smear and character assassination and dragging people's families through the mud, if we fail to get pissed off and fight back, this will become the new norm, and things will only get uglier: we will continue the slide into repression and oppression and socialism, and instead of merely jokes about our teenage daughters on Letterman we may one day find ourselves in show trials on Court TV.

According to the AP, she has been subject to 18 ethics complaints. All have been found without merit or end with a finding that held her blameless, except for the last one that is pending. That complaint is about a fund set up to defray the expenses of the first 17 ethics complaints, estimated at $500000 out of pocket by her family.

The Alaska ethics process is a system that is crazy out of control.
