"Ulysses and the Sirens" - Herbert James Draper (1909)
In support of my proposed nomination to join a certain exclusive club, I would just point out that I have always been immensely fond of this painting. The epic subject, the composition, the flow of the action, don't you know. Plus, I was an oarsman in college, after all.

Naw, those look more like Holyoke girls to me.
I recall that regular commenter TDP and I were together somewhere (the Dad Vails, I think) when we came across the Holyoke lightweight eight and instantly fell in love. Alas, they had not lost their shirts.
