"Can't Shake The Devil's Hand And Say You're Only Kidding"***

In the "Paging Dr. Faustus" category, Mother Sheehan sez that she'll gun for Nancy Pelooooosi if the Nanster doesn't try to impeach Dubya instanter:

Cindy Sheehan, the soldier's mother who galvanized the anti-war movement, said Sunday that she plans to seek House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's congressional seat unless she introduces articles of impeachment against President Bush in the next two weeks.

Sheehan said she will run against the San Francisco Democrat in 2008 as an independent if Pelosi does not seek by July 23 to impeach Bush. That's when Sheehan and her supporters are to arrive in Washington, D.C., after a 13-day caravan and walking tour starting next week from the group's war protest site near Bush's Crawford ranch.

"Democrats and Americans feel betrayed by the Democratic leadership," Sheehan told The Associated Press. "We hired them to bring an end to the war. I'm not too far from San Francisco, so it wouldn't be too big of a move for me. I would give her a run for her money."

Much has been made in recent weeks of the GOP's internal dissent but it strikes me that the Donks are going to have as bad a time, if not a worse one, with the hardcore moonbats if Dubya is still in office and our troops are still in Iraq come next fall (hint: they both will be).

This should be fuuuuuuuun!

(***Spot the quote and no fair googling it)

Okay,

Can't spot the quote without googleage yet, but I know it and it gnaws at me. Like one of those soft refrains that you absolutely are certain you've heard before. That is going to bug me.

Instanter, of course is a Woosterism. Has to be. It's already joined my vocab near le whangee de monsieur and I would hate to see it dropped due to factual concerns. Some things are more important than facts, and my childhood memories of adopting a brilliant word can be counted in that number.

Even though I suspect that it is a modern quote, my vote is for Bertie van Tanh, with a backup vote for Lucas Buck (played by the underrated Gary Cole) in American Gothic. Figure that is a wide enough net.

This is where the party ends.

Ok...TMBG - Your Racist Friend. Too easy. :) (Though Derek did get another line in the song, I'm pretty sure the song is actually titled with the aforementioned title).

Robbo, I've been hearing predictions like this for most of my adult life.

I heard that the Dems would pay a price over their moonbat attacks on Reagan.

I heard that the Dems would pay a price for their persecution of GHW Bush.

I heard that the Dems would pay a price for their rigid defense of president #42.

I heard that the Dems would pay a price for their systematic campaign to destroy President G. W. Bush.

I heard that the Dems would pay a price for their blatant politicking with national security.

Not one of those predictions has come true in any way, shape, or form. Democrats run a majority of state governments, Democrats run Congress, Democrats control the national political agenda, and Democrats hold all the aces in the race for 2008.

Why should I believe that this time, the Dems are going to pay a political price for giving power to their moonbat wing?

Instanter is Dutch, I believe. Google "Nicholas van Rijn"...
