Finally, a place for stately LLama Manor to really fit in
But the only question would be, do you have to get your feet surgically enlarged?
And what about dragons? I hear there's still dragons in these parts....
HT to Melissa at the Bonny Glen.
(Although to be a wee bit uncharitable, perhaps they should rename the local post office from "Bend" to "Bent.")

Since you're normally decent folks (for effete East Coast snobs), I'll let that pass -- this time. Bend is about 1 1/2 hours east of here, on the eastern slopes of the Cascades. It's a gorgeous place, with one of the best brweries around (DEschutes), sunny weather most of the year, gorgeous scenery, and great skiing/fishing/camping/hiking/any damn thing that involves the outdoors.
As for "The Shire" -- I hate to say it, but I love the architecture enough to overlook the schlock. Heck, I've always dreamed of developing a home inspired by Rivendell.
Oh, and no dragons -- just an active volcano (Newberry).
