Gratuitous Code Red Commuter Observation

I've noted before my belief that the United States should establish a new summer capitol, preferably someplace cool and pleasant like, say, Seattle.

Bet there are some folks 'round here kicking themselves they didn't listen to me.

Surprise! The tourists have already figured it out. San Francisco... windy and cold in the summer - everyone seems to need to be here, in shorts & Hawaiian shirt, complaining about the weather. Huh. You'd a thunk they might have checked, but then if its hot in Iowa, it must be hot in San Francisco.
I live north of SF in the "Whine Country". We have the Whine Train, Whine tasting, and Whine tourists who stop in the middle of a highway to take pictures.
Enjoy your summer. ;-P
(loved the Metro post. I've ridden on it and enjoyed the convenience. I usually tourist DeeCee in the fall, so I *know* there are no quotes there from me...)

It's scary even out here in the burbs near Dulles; and every year it gets worse. Beyond that, I inadvertantly have followed the swarming humanity around. I grew up near Niagara Falls, the bonus there being that the great unwashed got bathed in mist just standing there gawking.
