Dee-Cee Blog Meetup Plan

What would folks say to doing a blog meetup for a Nationals game---bleacher seats, cold beer, throwing peanuts at INDC Bill.....

Possible dates:

Sat/Sun May 20/21 against the O's. (Saturday is a night game, Sunday an afternoon)

June 16, 17, 18 against the Yankees. (Friday-Sunday)

The O's game would be a great local rivalry---certainly the chance to have rude signs making fun of Peter Angelos. The Yankees game.....well, it would be a chance to lure quite a few folks of the Yankees persuasion.

Let me know what you think.

I'd be interested. The only problem is that those two will be the hardest series for which to get tickets.

We might be better off looking at an inconsequential National League game, when the emphasis can be on the socializing. (And peanut throwing.)

Hence the trying to pull it together in March idea. But maybe for a bleacher bum type outing you've got a good point.

I think either weekend would work for Beau and I, but Sundays are not good because of our church obligations.

I would second the "other National League team" suggestion. Perhaps a Division rival like Atlanta, Philly, or the Mets?

Regardless, I'm interested.

Count me in. I third the alternate opponent idea. Plus, I believe both the Orioles and Yankees have been designated "premium" games, which mean the ticket prices are boosted some 17% or so.

Count me in too, although Yankee fans are annoying as all hell so I'd rather see another team. Also, you may want to consider that a Friday or Saturday game will be better in terms of getting people to go out afterward.

There's also the "going out instead" option. All that time sitting around watching the Nats and buying crappy $7 beers could be spent in a warm bar drinking good $5 beers.
