CHENEYPALOOZA

Okay, in the Vice President shooting finals matchup, who do you have: Cheney or Aaron Burr?

I'm going to have to go with Cheney because Burr what, he'd be like 250 years old by now.

UPDATE: I don't think the whole "I've got Olympics fever and just wanted to try out the biathalon for real" defense is going to hold water.

UPDATE DEUX: The Colossus is all over the emerging conspiracy theories beginning to spin out.

Let me suggest my interpretation: Mr. Whittington was the last in a long line of guardians of an ancient secret, hidden within the ample, heaving bosum of the Freemasons, and the truth that Mr. CheneyMcHalliburton---who is, by the way, a Sith Lord---was trying to kill to supress is that...

Grimace and Barney the Dinosaur were the role models for "Brokeback Mtn"---a story about big, gay, purple things, and Willie Nelson is one of them.

Oh, and George Washington started the French and Indian War.

Burr.

Antique firearm, one shot, one kill. Cheney had a modern shotgun, was carrying a ridiculously small shot to kill a man with, and only winged the guy, who happens to be 78 years old.

No contest. Burr.

Cheney.
Because if Burr were alive today, he'd be dead from old age.

Burr - He gave Hamilton the chance to shoot back.

Also - Burr because Hamilton dead, Whittenton still breathing

Hmmm. Hard to choose between Burr and Cheney. Burr seems more evil (a good thing, in this context), but Cheney's my emotional favorite.

What does Helen Thomas have to say about this? After all, she probably covered both shootings.

See, this is how I know it's an accident. Cheney strikes me as more of a "hands-on" guy. Now if Whittington had been choked, he'd probably be dead and in a shallow grave deep in a 50,000-acre private reserve. And we wouldn't be talking about it.

So, apples and oranges. But Cheney's far scarier.
