Gratuitous Domestic Posting (TM)

Well, I actually got all the Llama-ettes bathed, dressed, fed and off to church this morning all by my own self.

The LMC has noted his ignorance on the subject of girl-child bloomers and the possibilities for disastrous social faux pax this can cause. My problem is hair. All the Llama-ettes have hair well below their shoulders, and the youngest's is naturally curly. Having never been a hippy, I don't really know what to do about it. Sure, I can shampoo it and have the elemental sense to comb all the knots and tangles out, but no matter how much I fool around with barrettes, bows, twisties and the like, even when I manage to make them look somewhat presentable, within five minutes of heading out the door, they look like a lot of Junior Medusae.

My only hope is that people will see them with me and simply think, "Oh, well, of course. After all, he's only a dad."

For the youngest, the key to taming naturally curly hair=Aveda Brilliant Anti-Humectant pomade. A little dab rubbed through the hair and it brings everything in line. Frizzies become non-existent and suddenly you have a lot more options. And---bonus---it smells good, too.

Make sure you buy the ANTI-humectant, and not the humectant, which will make the naturally curly hair curlier. It's expensive, but it's totally worth the $18.

Trust me on this one. I know of what I speak.

Gosh Robert, As the mother of two boys I would be completely useless at stying the hair of three little girls. I can barely keep mine under control...

I hear the Sinead O'Connor look is in this year.

As the owner of naturally curly hair I highly recommend it. I'd also suggest a healthy supply of pepper spray to keep the missus from seriously harming you should you attempt this feat.

Only comb curly hair right after shampoo, apply pomade of your choice, mine is PM Sculpting foam.

Scrunch when hair is dry.
