Tedious
Mrs. LMC teed up the latest installment in the Pirates of the Carribean series last night after lights out for the Future ROTC Scholarship Recipient and his little sister. The plot was thin, the acting stilted, and not even Kiera Knightley could save this flick. I am glad we saw it through Netflix rather than incurring the substantial costs that come with seeing it in the theater.
You expected something else?
When was the last time that a sequel (not planned as such going in - a la LoTRs) didn't completely suck?
Think about The Matrix. One good film, two schlock-fests.
The 2nd Pirates was horrible. I expect the 3rd to be insane. (I will see it eventually.... when the price is right.)
They could have one movie for the record books, that everyone could have been proud to walk away from and look back on. Now they just have something most of them will have to live down.
