Joe-Mentum V. The Nutroots

Lieberman takes his party to the woodshed.

"There is something profoundly wrong-something that should trouble all of us — when we have elected Democratic officials who seem more worried about how the Bush administration might respond to Iran's murder of our troops, than about the fact that Iran is murdering our troops." He added, "There is likewise something profoundly wrong when we see candidates who are willing to pander to this politically paranoid, hyper-partisan sentiment in the Democratic base — even if it sends a message of weakness and division to the Iranian regime."

Thanks for posting this. I live in CT, but I doubt our truly pitiful Hartford Courant will be prominently positioning our own Senator Lieberman's views. I think tomorrow sounds like a perfect day to put back on my 'I'M STICKING WITH JOE' shirt.

Good for Lieberman: I have lost count of the number of liberals I know who, while always speaking respectfully of and to communists and radical muslims, practically foam at the mouth when faced with somebody to the right of Lieberman.

Somebody or other over at The Corner floated the idea that Lieberman shoud be the VP nominee on the Republican ticket. It made me laugh and say, "Hell yeah!"

Pimple-heads on the left would be popping all over the place.

tdp - I live in CT too. Joe is the only Democrat a Republithug like me can support. He gets it.

And his beating up on that Kos-backed empty suit Ned Lamont was a great moment in CT politics.

I fear the moonbats, in their quest for 'perfect' intell (when there is no such thing), has found the perfect excuse for inaction.

But at least now they are not screaming "connect the dots" - because the EFP (Explosive Formed Penetrators IEDs) dots lead straight to Iran...

Gary -- after seeing nothing in today's Courant on Lieberman's speech, I just searched their website. NOTHING. Good heavens. I expected them to not put him above the fold on page one, but to completely ignore him??? The man who holds the balance of power in the US Senate? In his home state? On the Big Issue in the country?

They can stick that 'Fairness Doctrine' where the sun don't shine. We need all the other forms of media we can find. Of course, the fact that I go to The Llama Butchers for my news should alarm us all...

I, too, live in Connecticut. Joe is so very wrong on many things, but he's not wrong on the biggest things, I think he's in the Senate as long as he wants.
