364 Days to the Election....

Interesting signs on the intertubes today.

Exhibit A: Nora Ephron's plaintive screed about betrayal of the Democrats by the Democrats. Read it and warm your toesies by the bonfire of its vanities.

Exhibit B: Kossacks in a panic over the prospect of good news out of Iraq. I've been seeing this going on on the ground here in the Ivory Tower over the past 2-3 weeks, with the beginning of the "whatever the outcome it wasn't worth the cost" argument beginning to emerge.

You've got a cool site. I'm putting it on my blogroll, if that's okay with you.

Reading his latest on the same topic, I'm beginning to sense the Commisar might be turning around . . . come back, Commissar, all is forgiven! :-)

Of course, about three years from now, when Andrew Sullivan gives an interview talking about how our bipartisan consensus was so important for us winning Iraq, then I think we can definitively declare victory.

Colossus: You mean "Pivot Two"?

I'm sure Sully will be speechifying on campuses about how it was his moral voice alone that allowed the War on Terror to be won. Kind of like hearing the Left talk about the consensus that led to the end of the Cold War...
