David Ortiz singlehandedly carries the Sawx to Victory
One night, 5 RBIs, two dingers, one in the bottom of the ninth.
Thank you, big fella.
UPDATE: Yes, our many regular readers who suffer under the disease of Yankee fandom have pointed out that Tampa Bay has the worst record in the majors. Ayy-yup. At this point of the season, a win is a win.
Yes, the Yankees play the Devil Rays just as much as the Red Sox do so what's Yankdom's point?
Oh, and Ortiz has performed the same heroics against the Pusillanimous Pinstripes in the past as well (*cough* 2004 *cough*) so the dispute is just more sour grapes.
Posted by: Domenico Bettinelli at September 13, 2007 08:24 AMWell, it actually looks like Bahston might actually win the division for once. When was the last time?
It also helps to have a Devil Ray misplay the very catchable ball.

Posted by: rbj at September 13, 2007 01:28 PMN.B.: The Yanks are only 8 and 7 versus Tampa Bay this season.
