Gratuitous Cranky Lunchtime Observation

Saw a young lady sporting a tattoo of a woman's name on the back of her neck while wandering the streets of Dee Cee this afternoon.

Is this some new kind of symbolism the young people have invented about which I have not yet heard, or is it simply a permanent "Hi! My name is --" badge for the benefit of those casual encounters in which introductions are simply skipped on the way to, em, other things?

The world wonders.

If the name is printed right side up, it's there for one particular sexual act; and if it's printed upside down, it's there for another particular sex act.

What do you call a "neck tattoo" anyway? The lower back tattoo is referred to as a "tramp stamp", so would the neck art be a "tramp stamp wedgie"?

Russ beat me to it. Damn. I'll just add: How else is a guy supposed to know and remember her name?

I once saw in a major NOVA mall, once rather butch looking girl leading another via a leash & collar.

All this from the generation pledging fealty to the Great God of Choice....

Sheesh,I have some weeding they could do. I promise mint tea, brie and crackers after the event. Would that help?
Stay. Away. From. Tatoo. Parlors.

Failing that, listen to what your mother said!

Nothing screams "NO CLASS!" quite as loudly as a tattoo: They're deal-breakers for me.

I was thinking about all the various terms for the lower back tattoo last night. "Tramp Stamp" is a good one, but I also like "Ass-Cap" and "Porn Star Ink".

These sorts of tattoos weren't common when I was in college back in the late 80's, but one of my old dormitory buddies had a great term for them during our bachelor days back in the early 90's:

"Guaranteed Anal"
