History repeats itself
Fundraising scandal brewing with the usual themes: shady characters, straw man donors, and bundling. This is reminiscent of the good old days with Charlie Trie, the Buddhist Temple, etc. but without the Lincoln Bedroom or White House "coffees".

You had to be familiar with the area to understand what actually happened. Now, some guy with an Asian name is bundling contributions (from people that live in rather icky housing)... It doesn't resonate.
Heh, I did some work in the "Buddhist" area of LA along about the time of the Gore scandel. I had to inspect an upper middle class home for a bank. The place was as neat as a pin. I asked for access to the garage. I was told I couldn't go in there. I insisted. I went into a two car garage to find a dormitory, bunks stacked 3 high. Hmmm, wonder what was up? Funny thing is, in my line of work I had to look past these living conditions and say "well, if you pull out the 2X4 bunk beds and porta potties you got a 2 car garage so, good to go."
No one wants to know about this kind of crap and Hsu is a perfect example. So, he was on the lamb for how many ever years, who cares?
Its okay that these things repeat themselves. Hill & The Libs get a pass because, as El Rushbo pointed out, Their Motives are So Pure....
