Random Commuter Observation

I think there ought to be a pedestrian traffic citation, coupled with an appropriate fine, for people who insist on hauling even the smallest of bags or boxes around on those damned little luggage strollers. I swear the woman whose stroller caught my shin on the metro this morning was using it to carry her purse.

I understand your antipathy. However, I completely disagree.

I'd be lost and/or in chronic pain if I wasn't able to use my rolling laptop case. When I was still nursing I was hauling the laptop, breast pump, tote bag and purse to/from work. There's aren't enough hands/shoulders for all of that crap and my back couldn't handle the strain of carrying it all.

That said, I was always super careful when around other people.

Oh, no, no - I don't have a problem with people using them when necessary. My gripe is with people who use them when NOT necessary. I'd gladly take one in the shins from somebody in your situation.

Maybe she'll be hauling more home and while it didn't seem necessary this morning, it will be later? Look at me being all bleeding heart here.
