Doesn't his smarmy grim just make you want to slap him?
I shan't go into a rant about the day's vote for cloture on the immigration bill. Suffice to say I think we, as a people represented by our elected politicians, are lost. We are entering a whole new era here or, maybe a return to a prior era, of back room deals and secrets.
What bothers me most about our recent turn of events is that there is some "secret" out there causing our Senators to vote in a manner that their electorate overwhelming disagrees with.
One day we will find out what that secret is...
Until that day, people like Robert will be able to shield their children from a failing school system and will be able to shield their family from a failing medical system. Others,no less worthy, will suffer from a system run by a failing bureaucracy and a swamping by other individuals that are not United States citizens...
I wonder, with all the church talk on this site, if anyone has actually thought about that... You know, others that are also United States citizens? What obligation do we, the upper middle class, hold to United States citizens not as well off as we are?
