Random Commuter Observations - Elevator Etiquette

People in elevators will go to great lengths to pretend not to see late-comers scurrying up while the doors are starting to close. Generally, I'm okay with that.

But when they make direct eye contact with you and still don't do anything to stop the doors? That's just cold. And when they smile? Even colder.

Or how about the putz who looks right at you and still gets on before you finish getting off?

But anyone who would smile at you while the doors are closing must be a sociopath.

So I'm guessing that the little wave I give, if I know the doors will shut on time, isn't cool either?

Sure it's mean, but it makes me giggle like a schoolgirl.
