I think that last line alone (about the nanny state) will be enough to set Robbo off on what we would call in the old neighborhood a wicked ben-dah of a rant.

Being of the urban variety when the boys were small it was the stroller that was a disgrace. I remember scraping a sludge of milk, juice box and those horrible fish crackers out of the thing from time to time.

Why shouldn't children see parents drinking in a responsible manner? Isn't that a lesson they'd want their children to learn, or would they rather kids learn binge drinking at college.
