Random Commuter Observation

Which expression is worse:

"It's not the heat, it's the humidity."

-or-

"It's not the cold, it's the wind chill."

Discuss.

Well, for me, the heat/humidity is the worst, because really - heat, humidity, just heat, just humidity, they all stink with superior stinkiness.

Bring on the cold. And the wind chill.

Back in my days living in New Orleans, we used to say: It's not the heat, it's the stupidity. Stupidity is always worse.

It's the vapidity.

The latter. Tell me where you have cold but not wind chill? The first statement is meant to differentiate those places that are hot but not humid from those that are equally hot but much more humid. Is there a place where it is equally cold but there is no wind chill? I'm no weatherman and I am taking this much to seriously.

I think humidity is worse. You can bundle up as much as you need to in order to stay warm, but on a hot day, you'd only want your fellow Metro riders to strip down so far.

Given today's later posting... I wonder what Alexandra Steele would say?
