Old 35 mm slides: is the most efficient way of converting them to scan and then import into photoshop, adjust, and save?

I have 2 scanners, including a Konica-Minolta DiMAGE IV that will only do slides & film strips. There is no efficient way! 4 slides in the DiMAGE takes 3-5 minutes without any editing. I saw a gadget on the 'net that consisted of a frame that you sat your slide projector on that also had a mount for your digital camera. You projected the slide on an attached small screen and then took a snap of it with your digital camera! Then you uploaded the picture into your PC. It would certainly be faster than any scanner I can imagine. There are services that will scan them for you but it's pricey.
