Your assignment for the week
We're hosting the Carnival of the Bauer on Thursday night---all things The Jack, as the seriously crappy day winds down to a conclusion. Make sure to get your submissions in by Wednesday night (and if you need any inspiration, try Dave Barry's liveblogging tonight).
The theme I'm going for is "seriously derranged, LLama-style." Who is the real Mister Big? What's the ultimate conspiracy? Look for guest appearances by Bertie Wooster and the Knights Templar, not to mention the unmasking of Ben n' Jerry's sooper sekrit conspiracy to make AmeriKKKa pay for her sins against the pure indigenous peoples by making us extremely fat, one peace pop at a time.

I post an excerpt of my Spy Novel every week for a better part of a year featuring the Knights Templar as the villains, and do the Llamas ever link it? Nope. Not once. I think it's their understated way of saying I need my Haldol prescription refilled . . .
But then someone rents a few DVDs of 24, and the next thing you know, they're all into it the crazy conspiracy stuff.
I'm going to make my next book all about Salieri's gardener, who's hired to kill Mozart, just to spite them.

Posted by: Eric J at May 8, 2006 10:11 AMOkay, so Jack Bauer has a recording incriminating the president, he has a Blackberry that can be used for the hostile takeover of all the assets of a small foreign country, is in constant contact with CTU via a super high-tech scrambled cell phone, and he has to deliver the DIGITAL recording IN PERSON. Perhaps there was another solution...
