Ye Gods!

It's Godchecker.com, your one-stop shopping for world-wide mythology.

I should put the eldest Llama-ette on to this. Her obsession with Greek mythology continues unabated. And owing to her delight in Kate McMullan's Myth-O-Maniac series with its Fractured Fairy Tales approach to the standard stories (she just finished reading Get to Work, Hercules herself and I am in the middle of rereading Phone Home, Persephone to her at bedtime), she has developed a very strong anti-Zeus bias.

Yips! to Lynn S.

Good. Because Zeus was basically a dirty old bastard.

Was that thunder?...

Popular with the kiddies, I picked up Keep A Lid on it, Pandora and Suzanne pours over it. She likes the listing of Roman numbers in back. She just told me she wants the Hercules, Persephone, and Cupid ones as well.

I haven't read it myself, but considering you didn't rip it to shreds, it must not be too bad. Robbo Llamabutcher is not known for pulling punches.

The eldest has the whole set. I have to admit that I was rather hesitant at first, but the books seem to be mostly harmless. And it's a real joy to see her buried in one of them.
