The names of Ohio-class subs include states whose namesake battleships were at Pearl Harbor: Pennsylvania, Nevada, West Virginia, and Maryland (no Arizona or Utah, though)

Thanks for the link. This is a big post; might be the one that puts me on the map. Hopefully, in a good kind of way. Either that or it will do for me what Cabin Boy did for Chris Elliott's career. Hopefully people will laugh at some of the jokes.

I, for one, loved it.

SEAL deployable Ohios.....for the love of all that is holy. Aquaman is crapping in his orange pants.

There's a line in Lawrence of Arabia where the reporter is talknig to Prince Faisal and he says something to the effect of how he wanted to show the war's "more adventurous aspects." Shortly after, we see Lawrence blowing up a train. That's how I see the SSGNs -- tools for causing vandalism on a grand scale. It appeals to my inner child. I love the concept.

Yes, I know, we're supposed to regard war with utter seriousness, wearing sackcloth and ashes -- but tell me it wouldn't be fun to be the Chief of Naval Operations and unleash those SOBs on some poor unsuspecting coastline.
