Reading To The Kids

Here in the Bonny Glen is hosting the mother of all Carnivals of Children's Literature. Go on over and browse away. Speaking for myself, I saw references to any number of children's books I'd never heard of before.

Good thing there's no mention of Curious George, who is now persona non grata:
http://www.sf!gate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2006/02/10/GEORGE.TMP
"Roth, a high school English teacher in Los Angeles, writes on her animal rights Web site that "Curious George" reveals "the sinister side of a corrupt wildlife trade with perilous roots in Western imperialism." "
Sigh,
Sometimes a monkey is just a monkey.
