Let Your Fingers Do The Humming

It's the Song Tapper. Tap out whatever is running through your head on the spacebar and the program attempts to ID it for you.

"Three Blind Mice", it got.

"The Key to Her Ferrari", not so much.

Still, pretty impressive.

Yips! to Jonah.

It got "Stairway to Heaven." But it can't tell the difference between Smashing Pumpkins' "Today" and Beethoven's "Fur Elise."

Stop in the Name of Love? Got it first time, no problems.

Springsteen's Born to Run? Jammed it up for 5 full minutes before it crashed and burned.

Funny.

Gotta wonder about the relative utility of this when you tap in Eine Kleine Nachtmusic and its guesses include the William Tell Overture and "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off"...

Flabbergasted. Very few actually have listened to Aliens Ate My Buick. Favorite is still Airhead. "While I'm impressed by the size of that chest, she's not an intellectual giant." Pure Dolby genius.

I tapped in a bit of Rachmaninov (3rd piano concerto), just for fun. For a while it looked as if it couldnt take the load, then it produced the following results:

The Scientist Coldplay
Enjoy The Silence Depeche Mode
Master's Apprentices Opeth
Killing Me Softly
It's A Hit We Are Scientists
Make No Sound Gomez
Metallica Disposable Heros
You're The One That I Want John Travolta / Olivia Newton John
Camel Toe Fannypack
Hallelujah Choris Handel

I am stunned. I must have mistapped. I am no Lazar Berman, for sure.
