FIREFLY UPDATE

Last night I watched the two episodes that I have not seen thus far on either DVD or the re-runs on the Sci Fi Channel: "Our Mrs. Reynolds" and "War Stories." Random observations: Robbo, you were right about Inara, her clientele is "mostly" male. Zoe and River can back me up in a bar fight any time. Kaylee needs to stick to the engines--she lost points for losing her nerve, lost more points for banging the ship's first mechanic, but made up for lost ground by taking his job. Saffron turned out to be a player after all. Money line from Jayne: "I'll be in my bunk." Tonight: Serenity

And don't forget the Return of Saffron. I'll bet that if the series had lasted longer, she'd keep bobbing up.

But she wouldn't have gotten the job if she didn't do the nasty with the first "mechanic." Not that she was to into him, anyways - she figured out how to fix the ship when, as she said, she "was on [her] back."

And is this Serenity: the Movie, or Serenity, the Episode?

The movie.

Color me green. I have to wait until Christmas to even get my copy (and my husband has been rubbing it in since it went on pre-order) and even then probably won't get to actually watch it for a day or two.

And no, I didn't get to see it in the theater. The only movies we go out to see are family movies. Almost everything else waits for dvd. I did try to talk them into letting me go see Serenity when it was playing at the same time and place as Wallace and Grommit. But, they guilted me out of it.

You're in for a treat (of course, by now you've probably watched Serenity). Like Christi, I have to wait until Christmas for my copy of the movie and the series. Although I did see the movie in the theatre. And borrowed the series, but still...gotta have my own copy!
