COUNT ON THE LLAMAS TO ASK THE REALLY IMPORTANT QUESTION: WHERE IS

The incomparable Lucy Liu? Breakout event: role of Ling on Ally McBeal. Best brainless movies: the Charlie's Angels flicks. Best attributes: sly smile and a body that could stop a bus. Unlike most starlets, Lucy is a college grad (Michigan, no less) and I get the impression that if Hollywood does not pan out, she will take her degree in Asian languages and culture and do something impressive like engineer Taiwan's takeover of mainland China. She has not done anything memorable recently, but I live in the sure and certain hope that we will see Lucy again, as sure as we know that Kelly McGillis will come back . . .

Nothing memorable? Kill Bill. Wow.

How about Mel Gibson's "Payback"? Hubba Hubba...

Who cares what she's done lately? the existence of a woman that hot and smart and apparently nice gives hope to all mankind. The movie roles are icing.

Kelly McGillis works in theater - she prefers the stage to the screen.

I believe Lucy Liu's head was a guest star on an episode of Futurama.

I just can't.

Don't get me wrong, I like(d) Kelly. But Lucy Liu is ... well, words fail me. She can be my best friend whenever she gets tired of smart, beautiful rich people who live in tropical climates and fabulous cities.

She has been in number of highly-forgettable holywood productions (like Domino), she has done voice parts in a number of animated features (Mulan 2) and she has 3 or 4 films coming out in 2006, 2007.

You just haven't been paying attention.

I realize that men are only interested in the visual aspect, and that your minds turn off when someone like Lucy is on screen, so the animated stuff probably doesn't attract you. But I would have thought that between Kiera Knightly (from Pirates of the Carribean) and Lui that "Domino" might have done better than it did.

ONE of our minds turns off.
