Ms. Morrisette, call on line two, Ms. Morrisette....
Ironic, no?
Posted by Steve at December 8, 2005 02:34 PM | TrackBackI fail to see how the killing of a Contractor / "US security consultant" qualifies as ironic.
Maybe the four "peace" activists (who I don't believe should die) being captured and with few days left. Quesiton of Morality though. I have heard (I think through Instapundit) that they don't want to be rescued through force. If we actually did know hwere they were being held, Do we respect their wishes, and wait until after their deaths to raid the location. Or do we go against their wishes?
Posted by: Big Mac w/ an Egg at December 8, 2005 03:55 PMBig Mac, no moral question. Go after the bad guys with as much force as possible as soon as they can be located and screw the "peace activists". Peace activists do not dictate the movement of forces or the application of military power even if it directly affects them. This is war, not some reality show, and the name of the game is to kill the bad guys as quickly and efficiently as possible before they kill again
Posted by: LMC at December 8, 2005 04:04 PMOnly extremists condone murder in the name of Islam. Both the Christian and Islamic movements to conquer - then declare "convert or die" were wrong. The difference is that Christians left the 14th Century behind. Wahabi doesn't recognize that it's not 12th century anymore.
Damn - I can't grow a beard - so my lack of primitive traits is seen as "unmanly" by the Wahabi. I don't see that the restrictive requirements of their "CULT" does anything positive for mankind. Perhaps they would be better off - left in the desert to **** their camels.
Totally aggree w/ you on that one LMC. Plus, it would be nice to show the peaceniks that even though the Military kills people, they also save lives, even the ones that they might think twice about punching on the street. Maybe some of the terrosits blood might get on them as well. The only thing I would hate to see, is their "peace group" get more news (a.k.a. free publicity) because the prostest about saving their lives.
Posted by: Big Mac w/ an Egg at December 8, 2005 08:11 PMDon't get the 'ironic' part either. What's ironic about it?
