Scots Wha Hey!

burns.jpg

The Maximum Leader reminds us that today is the birthday of Robert Burns, the National Poet of Scotland. (The only poet of Scotland.) Nip on over and peruse the ML's tribute to the man, as well as his plans for a suitable evening of celebration. I notice that he apparently is going to, er, welsh on the haggis, but I can't say that I really blame him.

Hoots!

Last time in Scotland I was brave enough (well, not so brave) as to eat "vegetarian haggis". It was tasty!

Thanks for the Yips. I can't yet force my Villainettes (aged 7 and aged 5) to eat a full blown haggis yet. I did force the lovely wife to try it once. She didn't care for it. I'm not partial one way or the other about haggis. Of course, most times that I've had it I've also had a considerable amount of whisky before eating...

Haggis be nasty stuff. *shudder*

I've had haggis in a pub in Edinburgh. Tasty. Actually the biggest taste was of barley.
Now I've heard rumors of haggis made from llamas. . .

Llama haggis? Lies and damn lies!

Matter of fact, I think the Maximum Leader got it in one: Of course, most times that I've had it I've also had a considerable amount of whisky before eating...
