Attack Of The Flying Killer Shrimp

Lest you think this sounds like a Hollywood B movie starring Adrienne Barbeau, fellow Moo-Knew-vian the Random Penseur has the story ripped, as they say, from the headlines of the day.

I've evidently been practicing law too long because I thought such archaic notions as "proximate cause" were jettisoned from tort law eons ago.

Thanks for the link, Robert! That was mighty nice of you. After I saw the trackback, and your comment about proximate cause, I was inspired to go do some legal research and update my post with some comments from a recent decision.

Oh go awn. . .MY favorite legal term is bifurcate. Why? Well, HELL. Not because the definition, of course -- it's just one of those legal terms that sounds dirty, but isn't.
