Well That's A Relief

John at TexasBestGrok brings us the Official Geek Test.

My score actually wound up in negative numbers. (-85, to be exact.) I piled up a modest number of geek points over Mel Brooks, Monty Python, Douglas Adams, Tolkien and the real Star Wars movies but then wiped them out and then some with a big batch of anti-geek negative points (and never you mind which ones).

Absolute flat zero. Lots of plusses on sci-fi and computers. But the negatives: travel? Yup. Music? Yup. Mile high? Well, something must have brought me back to zero huh?
(BTW, it's amazing how bored you can get on a non-stop LA to Moscow flight if you're travelling that route twice a month.)

I imagine even those old Soviet matrons start to look pretty good after a while.

Oh! Oh! Oh! Lemme guess. You got to take off points because you bathe and are a snappy dresser!

Alas, I only wound up with a total adjusted score of 75. Not a geek.

Unless the test is really only out there to detect a certain TYPE of geek. Perhaps we need a better geek classification system.

ML - you're right. The test seemed to be for general geekiness, but I noticed a number of different subcategories. In some, I would have got no points. In others, I'm a hopeless dork.

Yeah, snappy dressing is PART of the equation....
