I Am A Geek
Yesss! I've now managed to install my Star Trek Voyager Door Chime (TM) on my incoming email notification. I am still sufficiently ignorant of all things computer-related to consider this a major triumph, particularly as I had saved it on a floppy disk from my old system and brought it over here with me.
Roll your eyes all you want - these are the little grace notes that help make life more enjoyable.

And I used Strauss' Also Sprach Zarathustra theme for startup, and the WGBH station theme for my shutdown. These days, I don't mess with anything other than my desktop wallpaper (currently Saturn's rings from Cassini).

So one day I happened to have just clicked to start the emptying process when my boss walked into my office. Needless to say, he was a bit startled to hear what was screeching from my computer speakers.
