Random Commuter Thoughts - Part I

Between the car radio, the coffee shop and CVS this morning, I heard three different covers of "Frosty the Snowman." I hate "Frosty the Snowman."

When I become Emperor of the World, one of the first items on my agenda is going to be a reform of Christmas music. Frosty'll be one of the first against the wall.

UPDATE: In the comments, INDCent Bill tasks me. He tasks me. So be it:

"Frosty the Snowman" - BLAM!
"Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" - BLAM!
"Jingle Bells" - BLAM!
"The Twelve Days of Christmas" - BLAM!
"I Wonder As I Wander" - BLAM! BLAM! BLAM!.....BLAM!
"White Christmas" sung by anyone other than Bing - BLAM!
"It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas" - BLAM!
"A Chipmunk Christmas" - BUDDABUDDABUDDABUDDA.....
"Here Comes Santa Claus" - BLAM!
Cher singing "O Holy Night" - BLAM! BLAM! BLAM!
All Holiday Medleys - BLAM!

and just to be inclusive, "The Dreidel Song" (Second verse? Same as the first!) - BLAM!

UPDATE DEUX: The Misspent One links with his list of five favorite Christmas carols just by way of yinging my yang or yanging my ying or sumpfin. As a matter of fact, these are amongst my favorites as well. But I was saving that shoe to drop in another post.

Oh, you talk a good game about human rights and religion and all, but the true Llama emerges with your planned bloody purge of the music that lights a child's soul.

And this is BEFORE you even take power and get corrupted. What would go then, White Christmas?

Stalinist Llamas.

Human rights? When did we talk a good game about human rights?

Sadly, O Come All Ye Faithful - because my church co-opted the chorus for all year 'round and I get tired of hearing it in non-Christmas months.

...I feel guilty in that I agree with you on at least half of those titles. (You know we're gonna end up in a special kind of hell where it's Christmas every day of the year, right?)

God I hate that "song".

You don't mean the version of Jingle Bells sung by the dogs, do you? That's a classic!

Although I wouldn't cry if you included Holly Jolly Christmas. That is so annoying.
