Llama Movie Blegging

Any of you loyal readers out there know anything about this new Pixar movie "The Incredibles"? My kids are after me to take them to see it.

According to this weeks Newsweek it's a story about super heros that get sued so much they go into hiding as normal civilians; however, an arch rival manages to drag them out of retirement and much mayhem ensues. The Newsweek review was critical of the level of violence (it's at the PG level) and mentioned a scene where the mother super hero is hiding in a cave with her kids explaining that this is not like TV and the evil people will kill them even though they are children.

I intend to see it, but I can't give you any age appropriate advice since I don't have kids of my own yet.

You can see trailers and go to the official site here.

Hope that helps.

It's also nearly two full hours long, so younger kids might run out of patience near the end.

At the preview at Comic-Con the Pixar guys basically said "It's a lot darker than our other movies, I don't think I'd take a five-year old to see it".

For what that's worth.

Thanks guys. Sounds like it's definitely off limits for my four year old and probably for the six year old as well.

Saw it last night. Great movie. But no, the 4 and 6 year olds won't really like it that much. For that matter, my wife and I liked it better than our 14 year old did.

Think "Fantastic Four Meet Goldfinger".
