All-Star Tee Vee Theme Songs

RetroCrush has got his list of Top 25 Tee Vee Theme Songs posted, along with the remaining 75 that round out his top 100 project.

I'm willing to go along with his choice for No. 1. It's always been one of my favorites. As for other songs that made and/or didn't make the list, I'm sure you've got a world of comment. Have at it.

One thing - I'm also glad the Monkees' theme made the list for purely nostalgic reasons. When I was a kid, I used to play a game with my mother in which we'd substitute other animals in the lyric, trying to top each other. So we would sing things like,

Hey, Hey, we're the Hippopotomuses!

Hey, Hey, we're the Orangutans!

Hey, Hey, we're the Three-Toed Tree Sloths!

and so on.

Yips! to Jonathan Last at Galley Slaves.

I have a talent for inventing alternate song lyrics. They often come out including intricate strings of profanity, or thoughts so uncharitable and/or amoral that they quite shock those around me.

But do the characters on your tee vee ask you to cut it out?

No, but my wife often does.

Don't see how they left out the theme song from Peter Gunn.

How about the theme from STAR TREK(REMEMBER ME)or BEVERLY HILLBILLIES(THE BALLAD OF JED CLAMPET)or GILLIGANS ISLAND or or BARRETA(KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE SPARROW)or a number of other shows
