Trees and Apples
Last evening my soon-to-be-seven year old was telling me about a new research project she's starting at school.
"What are you researching?" I said.
"It's an animal," she replied, "Um, I can't really say the name but it's spelled a...l...p...a....c...a...."
"Oh, an alpaca?" I asked.
"Yes, that's right."
That's me girl!

you weren't thinking of doing any online research for this, were you? books would be safer. books for seven-year-olds probably won't have mention of orgling. or pictures.
on the bright side, she'll learn more about what daddy does, and family heritage and such. learning us such fun!
