Gratuitous Musickal Blegging

I'm thinking of buying the complete set of Mendelssohn's symphonies. Anybody out there have some pro or con recommendations about any particular recordings?

Make sure it has "Takin' Care Of Business". I always skip straight to the "workin' overtime" part.

That, and "Bad Moon Rising." I always liked that one.

Actually, I'm thinking that that's the kind of question we'd ask you -- you know more about that subject than I do.

That being said, I found that I like Herbert von Karajan on most nineteenth century stuff.

This got pretty good reviews.

The folks at ClassicsToday rank the Claudio Abbado/London Symphony Orchestra performances very highly,

Get it on CD.
You'll be able to play it on the latest equipment.
