Perhaps, just maybe, the atomic bomb was a more important 20th Century invention than an overcrowded room filled with bad lighting, overloud horribly "music", crammed with coked out brain dead twits. To even put the two inventions in the same category is utterly ridiculous. And to not put too fine a point on it, I'd rather have been in Hiroshima ca. 1945 than Studio 54 ca. 1979.
Disco sucks.

How typical. The elitist BBC singles out a decadent, transatlantic development like disco. And yet they completely ignore country & western one-step line dancing, an innovation that has touched us all in oh, so many ways.
