Gratuitous Nit-Picking Post
Message to the producers of The History Channel's Rome: Engineering an Empire -
Not too bad an effort, all things considered. However, one doesn't say "Imperial Empire". That's rather like saying "wet water".
That is all.
UPDATE: Tainted Bill saw the show, too. And dammit if that wasn't Buckaroo Banzai providing commentary! (I didn't much care for the Hollywood-style delivery, but I didn't make the connection and had thought it just an odd coincidence of names.)
I was wondering when Buckaroo had added college professor to his list of jobs. Not that he couldn't do it, of course.
Posted by: rbj at September 6, 2005 09:36 AMI saw the same thing and Googled him right after I saw him...apparently his father instilled a love of Italy in him, and Weller went to Syracuse to get his Master's in Italian Renaissance (sp?), architecture, that kind of thing.
And he's 58! Not too bad!
