YOUR WILLIAM H. MACY QUOTE OF THE DAY

You know, for my money, a day isn't complete without at least one "buck naked" story, in which the husband of Felicity Huffman, diva star of Desperate Housewives and Sports Night, uses the words "buck naked" on three separate occasions. Not, mind you, Felicity Huffman buck naked, but still funny nonetheless.

I saw the interview on Jay Leno last week when he tells this story. Macy was pretty funny; he was also wearing a "sock" at the time, but one might as well be buck naked. The funniest part was Leno getting him to admit that he met Huffman when she was his acting student, then revisiting the teacher-dating-student idea several times. I felt for Macy's squirming over it.

I thought I was going to like the movie "The Cooler", featuring Macy, but I found it somewhat distasteful. One of its lowlights was a scene featuring a little more of him, as seen from behind, than anybody but Felicity Huffman ever needed to see.

Unfortunately it has been seared -- seared -- into memory.

Personally, I think Huffman's the LEAST attractive of the show's namesake characters.
