In retrospect, maybe running off was the biggest favor she coulda done her poor fiance. If only she'd stayed gone.

A woman from Minden (SW Iowa - closer to Omaha than Des Moines) took off a few days before she was SUPPOSED to give birth. Turns out she had miscarried back in the fall, and never told her husband or family about it. She turned up at a friend's house in Omaha a few days later, and said that she was through with her husband, and on her way to move in with a male friend in Texas.
This morning's paper reported that she died yesterday from an assumed overdose of acetomenophen (spelling?) followed by liver failure. Sad, sad story.
I just hope the woman in Georgia stays healthy so we can keep poking fun at her.
