Flash In The Pan '90's Babes - Feeder Edition

This one is for our LMC:

Whatever happened to Minnie Driver?

Her best friends would not call her beautiful in the standard Hollywood glamour sense, but I thought that was the whole point: she had a charm and a character that made her extremely attractive nonetheless. Best film that I can remember: Grosse Point Blank.

Ms. Driver's career has slowed a bit, though she had supporting roles in Ella Enchanted and Phantom of the Opera plus an extended run on TV's Will and Grace. She's now in that horrid mid-30's Hollywood rut. She's not a big enough star to continue on as a leading woman, but she does have some terrific comic timing. She really should have her own sitcom by now.

I seem to remember she had a development deal with NBC for awhile, but it didn't go anywhere.

She had a CD out last year. Nice singing voice, actually. Most of the songs had an "I really need to get laid" vibe.

As if that would be difficult. Also she is currently filming.

Grosse Point Blank... One of our favorite films.

Yeah, she was touring with her album for quite a bit.

I never saw the movie.

Seems like she favors roles in small independent films (not always artsy fartsy fare), with the occasional big film thrown in. So you'll see her surface every now and then, but she doesn't seem to be hurting for work. Factor in voiceovers and she's pretty busy.
