Blogging in Berryland - Updated
A little lite mid-afternoon relief for this bad day. (And isn't this Why We Fight, after all?)
Following up on my post about blueberries and the Llama-ettes the other day, long time Llama commenter Sarah recommended this book:
Blueberries for Sal, by Robert McCloskey.
I've never read it, but we've long enjoyed some of McCloskey's other books including Make Way for Ducklings. Given that, of course I immediately went to the Devil's Website and bought the thing.
Thankee much, Sarah - I'll let you know how it goes!
I love Blueberries for Sal. Not as much as One Morning In Maine - which is my personal favorite.

I will be spending more than one morning in Maine soon. No clam digging, but I hopefully will be fishing the Kennebec. And many blueberries will be consumed.
Posted by: Robert the LB at July 7, 2005 02:30 PMOne of the best last lines of a book ever:
"CLAM CHOWDER FOR LUNCH!!"
All of them screaming it in the back of the motor boat. I always wanted to go stay on that island, and make preserves with the mother, and go clam-digging, and take the boat into town ... I love it.
