RUMSTUD v. TEDDY BOY

The favorite pinup among America's bluehairs, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, made the Sunday morning talk show rounds, appearing on Fox News Sunday and This Week with (Boy) George Stephanopoulis. As usual, he was relaxed, sharp, and on the offensive. Predictably, the Gasbag in Winter showed his puffy mug on CNN. When questioned, Ted Kennedy had no policy alternatives to the present approach in Iraq but had the nerve to suggest the Administration had "lied" and "not been straight" and "needed to come clean" or some such nonsense. Mary Jo Kopechne was not available for comment.

UPDATE: Faithful reader Rachel announced that Rumstud is not just for the bluehair set. Okay gals, who would crawl over broken glass for an evening out with our Secretary of Defense? Dinner at a classy restaurant with a former carrier pilot, self-made millionaire, and liberator of around fifty million people--get it off your chest--you'll feel better.

UPDATE TWO: Anyone have a link to the National Review cover that had Rumsfeld in the Betty Grable pose?

Hey, it's not just the bluehairs. I love Rummy. He's got more spunk and spark than boys half his age.

How long do you think Gasbag would last in the ring with Rummy?

Rumsfeld IS the sexiest man in America! Although, a few years ago, he attended commissioning at USNA and looked a tich shrunken in a Navy warm up suit when photographed next to a midshipman.

Oh geez Louise. I cannot fathom how any "news" show could actually put Rummy in the same room as The Swimmer. One is a man, one is a mouse.

How could any human allow his sweet mistress to die in a few feet of water? Ted is a pig. Ted should STILL be in prison, and not sitting in the Senate, and CERTAINLY not trying to discuss adult issues with Rummy.

How can the phrases "lied", "not been straight", and "needed to come clean" actually come out of Ted's mouth?

But even more than I detest Ted, I detest the people of Massachusetts for electing him OVER and OVER to one of the highest positions in the US.

PLEASE TELL ME that the Conservative re-emergence of the last few years isn't over, and the likes of Ted are slowly being put out to pasture!
