Random Commuter Crankiness

If this is June in Virginia, perhaps it's time to go back to the old fearmonger scare about the impending new Ice Age?

Speaking of which, I saw a bumper-sticker yesterday that read, "I'd Rather Be Fighting Global Warming". God give me strength. I think it's safe to say that some folks have regained their 9/10 worldview just fine, thank you very much.

Then shouldn't that person be riding a bike or something?

Weather patterns are much more whimsical and complex than a single day's (or season's) contradiction of a two-word scientific description of a largely accepted global phenomenon.

Think of the theory like one of those interminably dense classical music pieces that you orgiastically listen to whilst smoking a pipe, swirling cognac and pressing leaves in between the musty old volumes of your oaken library - something that trends and builds towards an end, but with many swirls and eddies that feint towards an opposite conclusion in random and challenging bursts.
