The whole Kerry's Vietnam medals thing is taking a bizarre turn.
I downloaded the Silver Star citation file">pdf from the Kerry website--what's odd is, is that there are not one but two citations, for the same medal, with one signed by John Lehman, who was Secretary of the Navy during the REAGAN administration. I mean, I understand FUBAR is SOP in the Navy, but what's up with this? And why does the second citation---the one signed by Lehman---feature much more glowing language, and less of a clinical description of the carnage inflicted in the incident?
